I have a short comedy script (9 pages) called SPACE CAKES which I am keen on getting produced.

LOGLINE: A teenage girl must prevent her mom from serving left-over cake to some friends for tea because it contains weed.

SYNOPSIS

CANDICE (16) is woken up by her mum, AMBER (45) who is in the garden, preparing for her tea party. She tells Candice that she’ll be serving the leftover cake in the fridge. Candice tries to persuade her mum to not serve it but she isn’t having any of it and tells Candice to go and finish her school work.

Candice falls asleep and has a nightmare about Amber eating the cake. Candice is awoken by the doorbell as OLIVIA (44) and JOANNA (46) arrive. She is forced to socialise, Amber makes it awkward for her when she starts talking about the cake; which Olivia and Joanna find funny. The door goes again, Candice answers it, it’s MIRANDA (45), the mother of the girl who gave Candice the cake. Miranda tells Amber that she found out that her own daughter had marijuana. Amber says Candice would never do that because she’s a good girl.

Later, Candice gets a message from her friend about meeting up. She’s goes to tell her mum that she's going out, but they
can’t hear her from outside. Candice goes to the back door only to watch in horror as Miranda takes a bite from a piece of her cake.

I've posted it on the script pitch but thought I'd be more forward put something here.
