Looking for a film watched through New Shoots

Hi

I’m looking for a film watched from a New Shoots Filmmaker’s competition back in 2020 or 2021. I’ve been wanting to find it ever since.

Without dialogue, the film is set is a rural cottage like environment, a single mature man.
The man moves into another environment , dreamy, beautiful, cathedral like, soft lens focus, he’s dressed in a top hat and tails, looking stunning.
He meets a woman of similar age, also beautiful, just like the surroundings. They dance a slow ballroom dance with music, a couple connected it seems, encompassing love.

Then, a jarring cut back to the exterior rural cottage, a very old tree and, the same man dressed in the tailored suit but now having taken his own life by means of hanging.
The end of the film.

A deeply moving film and the design and feel was so poignant.
I think the filmmaker won the competition or came very close.

Anyone think they may know the film in question ?

I had a quick look but your film doesn't seem to be described among the shortlisted ones. Are you sure you have your dates range right?

Thanks for that. I have gone through all the listed films as suggested, and it was definitely around that time frame as I was going to enter the competition myself , thinking it would be a good place to put my focus having just lost my mum the same year.
Maybe it was on a different platform and it wasn’t New Shoots after all?…

It’s annoying that I can remember so much about the film but can’t remember the title of the exact location.
