I'm a Palestinian-British filmmaker currently based in Berlin, and I'm looking for a producer to apply to BFI's "More Films for Freedom" grant. Deadline is April 3rd.
The project is entitled "Blood Like Water", and it will be shot in Jericho-Palestine, this summer. Here's a brief synopsis:
"When Shadi embarks on an adventure with a secret lover, and accidentally drags his proud Palestinian family into a political trap. They can either turn into collaborators with the Israeli occupation and betray their morals and beliefs, or they will face shame and unimaginable humiliation by their own community."
The film has won a production grant by the Palestine Cinema Days in Ramallah, and a production grant from the French Consulate in Jerusalem. An additional fund from the UK should help us lock the budget and go into production - as funds already committed have to be spent by Nov 2022.
