Looking for a street that has alley ways between the houses.

Hi everyone.

I'm going to be shooting a music video at the end of the month and there's a shot I really want to do where the character is following another character but in the adjacent street. The only way to keep track of the other character is when they see them pass the alley ways that run between the houses.

I'm pretty sure these exist but I don't know off the top of my head where to find them.

Anyone happen to know a street in the London area like I've described? Even if it's not in London it would be great to hear from you.

Look forward to hearing suggestions.

Peter

Hi have you tried the haringay ladder? Some lovely cobbled alleyways between houses....

My pleasure Peter. I filmed there early last year and the harringey council were very helpful. Good luck with the shoot. Mick

Check out harringey ladders. Its the longest alley in london and you could cheat it by using different streets for each shot?

Hi
Have a looked the area between Oxford Street - Goodge Street and Regent St- Totts Court Rd, http://goo.gl/maps/Fb9VC

They're not house looking but they look pretty cool, red brick I filmed there about 4 years ago (www.dareschool.com),, it looks great there lot of choice,of skinny and/wide allies,Sundays are dead quiet soon as you get of Oxford Street.

Best of luck

Hi Steel,

Thanks for the info, that's much appreciated. Really enjoyed the link to Dareschool, very creative video.

I've had a look at google maps to see if I can find exactly where you mean but without success. Can you tell me exact streets?

Thanks for replies everyone. Turns pit the musician had to pull out of doing a video because he's been signed by a new label and so the lawyers have put everything on hold at the moment.

Stephen, It think the area you're talking about is the same area as Mick mentioned. I had a look and it does look like a great location.

Peter,

Sorry for slow response been away on Holidays..
Glad you enjoyed the video,, I can not take any credit for the creativity of the production as I just brought in as a presenter. But it wa a fun job for Dare. and excellent digit agency.

I have had a look on google maps,, its really hard to see the alley ways,, if you get a chance just to wonder around one afternoon then do,, I know there are little cut throughs and archways between Rathbone Street and Newman Street which aren't on the maps,, that is a great starting point as they continue west from there to Regant Street..Best of luck
