INDEXLooking for an experienced colourist to teach me how to colour grade a short film I have made
9 years, 6 months ago - Ian Bellinger
I am an amateur short film maker. I have an edited version of a short film I have made about fishermen. The footage needs colour grading as it was shot in log format. I edit with FCPX and have Magic Bullet Looks. Need someone to show me the ropes of colour correction and grading so I can grade the film myself. Happy to pay if necessary. I am based in South-West London.
To clarify: I am looking for specific help with grading of my film. Perhaps an hour or less to help me with specific advice on how an experienced colourist would work on the footage.

If you can get a hold of it, Apple's "Color: Correcting & Grading in Final Cut Studio" is a great and cheap text. It's for Apple Color, but the tools & principles apply to most grading tools and is pretty quick to read.
