Looking for filmmakers in Canterbury

Hi all,

Do you live in Canterbury, or nearby in Kent?

I run a filmmaking project called Action On The Side. We are running the project in Canterbury in May. It's a skills development workshop where you make a short film across four weekends. Gain credits, showreel material, experience, and grow your network.

With the project, we're working to develop the Canterbury film community. We've just set up a facebook forum group (Filmmaking in Canterbury, Kent).
I'm reaching out to local filmmakers to see what filmmaking opportunities are already available in your area, what you wish were available, and to grow my own network there.

This is also the focus of my Master's: I'm investigating film opportunities in various regional film communities, and am starting in Canterbury.

So, if you're a filmmaker based in Canterbury, please introduce yourself. I'd like to have a chat.

Hi Philip. Thanks for your reply. We have a facebook group for Canterbury at facebook.com/groups/canterburyfilmuk/ and for London (well, for both) at facebook.com/ActionOnTheSideLondon . The main meetups right now are the Action On The Side projects: Canterbury in May and London in June. I hope you can join us.

Hi Patricia, I'm a cinematographer www.andrewalderslade.com I now live in London but Canterbury was my old university town and I'm always looking for an excuse to drop by as much as possible!
