INDEXlooking for independent films to show as part of a youth service that works at summer events across the country?

We run a youth service that works with teenagers at various summer events and we would really like to start including a film screening as part of our service. I've been in touch with people like filmbank media etc and the liscences are quite expensive so I thought maybe we could get around this by appealing direct to independent film makers who are looking for a forum to get their films screened. Am i right in thinking that (obviously subject to an arrangement with the film makers themselves) this would avoid the need for costly liscences and screening bills? If so, can anyone suggest how or where I might be able to go about finding such filmmakers? Given our age range any film would have to be suitable for 13 year olds at the youngest. thanx in advance to you all for your help.

Hi Chaz - We'd be happy for you to screen our film - www.5greedybankers.com. I run a youth film making project and a couple of them helped on the film. It's a heist comedy and we've found teenagers enjoy it. It's a 12 certificate.
Get in touch if you are interested.
