Hi Peter,
this sounds like a story that needs to be told. I have experience in research and interviews, as well as as a script editor and dramaturg for devised film work- which is in some ways similar to documentaries where the material gets created first, and the story shaped later.
I'd love to have a chat about your project if you are still looking for people to help.

Hi Peter,
Just seen your post although its a few days old now. Would be interested to know more about what you may have in mind for this proposed project. Was out in the central Philippines region diving with my son both this & last April. Have witnessed dynmite fishing at first hand. Consequently understand this to be a very difficult and complex issue especially post recent typhoon disaster.
Anyway hope to learn more as certainly would like to help.
Cheers & good luck

Hi there,
So my name is James and I’m a freelance videographer with experience in filming projects for the entertainment, charity and business sectors. My latest assignment involved travelling to rural Peru, in order to film a dialogue-free international advert for Amantani, a charity affiliated with Getty images that educates indigenous children.
In terms of my wider film background, I’m a graduate of The New York Universty and have experience in directing and shooting footage for everything from corporate promotional videos, documentaries and unique art-house films. My repertoire also includes projects for the international fashion advertising industry and wildlife reserves in Africa.
I have secured funding for various film projects throughout my career to date, including the 2015 critically-acclaimed thriller “The Last Boat to Alcatraz”.
I recently spent two weeks out in the Arctic ocean documenting a Cod trawler, trying to bring awareness to the problems that our eco-system is currently suffering and upon return held an open exhibition of my work, illustrating the life cycle of our planet and how we have disrupted its natural function.
l was also been the head photographer for the new film Tomorrow Produced by Martin Scorsese where i spent time photography real war heroes and battle scenes in the Tabernas desert.
If you would like to view additional samples of my work, then I would welcome the chance to discuss professional opportunities with you regarding your documentary idea.
I also own a Red Scarlett X package and a carbon fibre shoulder mount and two Canon MKIII's with a wide range of lenses.
Please find below two links. The first is for my latest project (Amantani in Peru) and the second is my latest showreel.
Many thanks,
James Alexander
