Hi Sam, I am similar, though perhaps I am leaning towards something seeped in magic and wonder as well. Is slasher kind of films you are talking of or movies emotionally affecting in other ways also?

Hi Fred thanks for the response. To answer your question we have a short in post production at the moment which is my existential/ unexplained I guess you could call magicalish and currently have a more of a slasher type in pre production which I would like to shoot soon. I like both and would like to experiment in things grounded in reality and things that aren't. To answer your final question I prefer films that are about the characters more than just a hack n slash horror something like Green Room for example not technically horror but still terrifying. Where are you based?

Hi there Sam. I am trained and mostly work as an editor, but I write and direct as well. Often in the darker side of things. My last short (For Him) started gaining some traction this year on the festival circuit, although sadly a lot of this is being put on hold now so we will have to wait to see how things pan out. Next one (BabyThump) was due to shoot next week, but we're waiting now until events pass.

Hi Sam and everyone who replied, that sounds amazing. I absolutely love horror films and it's my dream to work on them, I have been kind of horror film obsessed since my childhood and it's definitely my thing.

I live in London now, close to a train station well connected so don't mind travelling and I used to study cinematography at the Art university of Bournemouth and had the chance to DP a horror film for our grad film. I would love to be able to come back down in the south of England for filming. If you are interested I can send you private link to the film.

I have been DP different projects, doing lighting and colour graded most of the projects I shot, I also wrote couple scripts as well.
