Hi,

New to SP, so firstly, hello!

I'm currently producing my first feature and trying to work out how best to structure the production from a business and finance POV. Any general advice on this issue is most welcome at this early stage.

The production budget will be at least 50% private investment and 20% deferred fees/services in kind. It seems sensible to plan for pre-sale etc at this stage, but this may not be needed.

Creatively, the project is at the treatment stage, with funding in place for the script.

I'm considering hiring suitable people to help structure the investment/ financing deals, so if this is what you do, or you have any recommendations for people or companies that specialise in this, then please do share. I'm not currently looking for full production partners/producers.

It will likely be run via a UK based LC. None EIS.

Early days, so just feeling out how best to go about all this, and who may be around that fits the sort of profile I'm imagining (or indeed, if there is a smarter way!).

Any general advice on prepping a film for financing is most welcome.
