Looking for UK location, a beach edged by woods or forest?

9 years, 10 months ago - Margaret Milner Schmueck

We are looking for a beach or coastal location that is directly straddled by trees, the only one that came out of initial research was Holkham in Norfolk, we would be grateful for any other pointers, we can travel so Scotland and Wales could be considered.
Thank you!

If you have some budget my friends own http://www.larp-candleston-campsite.co.uk/ which is next to Merthyr Mawr Warren National Nature Reserve.

The camp site is great and only rented out on a single booking basis (basically, it's all yours, including much sandy dunes now covered in forest and onsite kitchens etc).

The reserve is the adjcent property - walk through a gate and you're there.

I've been there several times, and if you want trees/beach/dunes type location it's def worth a recce.
