INDEXLost in the fascist forest... looking for funding advice.

Hey shooters,
So I've been on a miraculous and unexpected (even for myself) adventure, which led me onto an exciting (but rather mad) idea for a documentary. I have some questions, probably more so for myself and reflection on film and the role of the endurance of the natural world in the face of rising fascism that I thought this wonderful community would at least hopefully find stimulating.
This all started when I attended a counter-protest organised by the wonderful chaps, chappesses and non-binarys at Stand Up to Racism in Epping, after the far-right threatened a hotel full of asylum seekers (what has this country come to) a forest town in semi-rural Essex, only a short public transportation ride from the urban sprawl of East London but a long way from the comfort and familiarily of my lovely home in Buckinghamshire
I will spare you the gory details of our encounter with the self-proclaimed 'concerned British citizens', of the 'Epping Spartans' and other groups of far-right thugs, who threw insults, flour, water, and other common cake ingredients at us (mine's a red velvet personally). This thinking is strangely enough about the beauty of the natural world and specifically of Epping Forest. I am now planning, together with my fellow comrades (I sound like a real city lefty, I know haha), to make a film about how, beyond class and race, the sublime of the natural world can unite us and hopefully uproot us to yes I am going to say it, stand up to racism.
So what does all of this have to do with you shooters, I am thinking about the best way to apply for funding toward making this guerrilla project, part anti-fascist declaration of love for the feeling of leaves on bare legs and part attempt to strengthen the visibility of the terrible things that are going on in Epping and other places across the country, toward actual scrutiny from this increasingly annoying admistration in number 10.
Can people recommend funding bodies that I could apply to that would be interested in making this? We have an intrepid crew of me (director), producer and ragtag Camera crew made up of me and other members of SUTR, but we need is a lot of 'loony' lefty money and stat....

TABITHA! You sound like a marvellous person (although, I will say as brilliant as the cause they fight is, SUTR do have their issues which should be addressed, more info here, but let's spare the shooters from more lefty infighting talk: https://linktr.ee/FUCKSWP ) with a genuinely budding concept with great potential here, although I will be transparent, you might be a bit misguided in your plights for funding.
Primarily I'd recommend Doc Society's Made of Truth fund - but really there aren't all too many funds for us radical documentary makers, and especially not if you want your project to be released urgently. You may want to have a look at crowdfunding instead, lots of people in the movement actually have quite deep pockets and I'm sure you wouldn't be surprised about our willingness to support each other.
This post has got me thinking about what us radical filmmakers can do to help support the cause... how we can have our own role in agitprop... how we can make films given the increasing urgency, when film takes such time and labour to create - what is the truth of documentary filmmaking in a country descending into such unreason?
Do keep us updated on how everything goes, and if you do crowdfund, I'm sure I'll be throwing in some pocket change ;)
