Hi all,
I´am David, Let me introduce myself quickly. I have been writing as far as I remember because I love it, especially sci-fi. I came to London with one mission to sell-myself as writer. So during free time I was writing scripts. In a short period of time I had like 7 screenplays mostly sci-fi with big budget, middle budget and low budget.
Well, I have sent some of them to agencies, or just knocked on door film studios. Actually what I´am still doing, but I´am getting tired really of stack of rejection letters and people bla… bla…bla... We will pass to someone… or just you don´t have agent… I think I have something that one has ever done before. I´ts unique, new different, but I need someone to read it, discuss it.
I got myself to the point to get things going. Simply just do it, never give up, never.
I´am looking for people, ideas, and basically everything. I have someone who is able to do music to film…..so why not start shoot something, and why not first feature film? Why not? Christopher Nolan did it. James Cameron did it, and so on… Life is limited, right!
Anyone who is interested to do something serious, it would be great email me here: davidmachala.89@gmail.com
Cheers
David

Hi David, great to see your enthusiasm untempered, and you're right, making a film at least gets it made, gets it out there, etc. My only suggestion would be maybe start with a couple of shorts rather than jumping into a feature - it's hard to overestimate the work (and if you count labour costs, money) involved in making a feature. If you can write a short (maybe 5 pages) sci-fi script with simple setups, you can shoot it in a weekend, and that's the length of time you can get a favour for. It'll create showreel, and give you something to put on YouTube to gain a following. Sci-first audiences are very particular, but extremely loyal if you get it right, so you can translate a lot of YouTube views to building an audience.
