Music Licensing Agreements

12 years, 4 months ago - Sam Wildman

Hi,

I'm trying to find some sample copies of a master use license and synchronisation license agreement. This is to license some existing compositions for a short film I'm working on. Would anyone be able to help me out?

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam,

I'm a composer and I recently had to find these agreements for a short film I wrote music for. I got them from the Musicians Union.

Best,
Matt

Hey Sam,
I'm a composer and I have been recently asked if one of my pieces (existing recording) could be used for a film so I have a sample agreement but I don't see any way to attach it here. If you want you could send me your email and I'll forward it to you.
Best,
Natali

I don't know whether you have specific music in mind, but Audio Network (www.audionetwork.com) and others such as Pond 5 (www.pond5.com) have a large stock of music that you can listen to, download and pay very small amounts to use. There are no lengthy contracts, just listen, pay and use! Otherwise as Sam says. MU has all the forms for specially composed music for your film.
