INDEXNeed advice on setting up rig to support weight of a person in a studio.

So I need to shoot someone that will be using a TRX system (http://uk.trxtraining.com) which requires something strong to be tethered to; since my studio doesn't have anything built in I was thinking is it possible to use some scaffold attached to 2 low base stands weighted down or something similar that will support the weight of a person at an angle?

Have you thought about a camera crane and remote head, it'll be much easier to handle. But you need a specialist for this job.

I've been using TRX for a while, does it have to be a studio shoot? Other options to consider are industrial spaces, using the supplied anchors to rig to anything from a door frame to a tree, it's a very versatile system. Other than that, yes, two a-frames to a scaffold crossbar will suffice.?

Talk to a rigger, this is just what they do - all the maths and rigging for hanging stuff/people. You may find a local scaff/staging company have an in-house rigging designer who can do that for you if you hire from them.

Thanks for all the advice I think there are a few avenues I can look into, unfortunately it does need to be in a studio so may speak to a rigger first.
