- Networking / Presentations Venue close to Central London? -

12 years, 3 months ago - Karel Bata

I'm looking for somewhere that's at least close to central London where I can stage networking events. It needs to be near a tube, be able to take at least 30, be private, allow us to take a large monitor in, and be reasonably quiet so guest speakers can be heard. And - er - be free or cheap...

Any suggestions?

Cheers! ;-)

Thanks Tara, but Clapham is a little too far. Some folks will be traveling from quite far out of town. It also looks like the bar stays open to the public, which isn't conducive to an evening of guest speakers, and it's also a 3D event so we'd need to bring in our own monitor(s).

Cheers!

hello
I am interested in what you are trying to set up. There are places in the west end (Soho) that would let you hire cheap or possibly free for your events. As long as people buy a drink.
The Crown and 2 Chairmen as suggested by Paddy Robinson- Griffin is one I was thinking of. There is also another venue in Soho but the name has either been changed or forgotten. Will let you know if I can find it. Please let me know if you are interested in a feature filmmaker showing a trailer at your event.
Thanks
Cindy

Hey Karel, We did some filming last week at The Bridge Bar in Clapham (Near Clapham North/Clapham High st stations), the new manager, Eduardo, is keen to have short fim nights/exhibitions etc. and I'm sure he'd be up for networking events as well. There are 3 large monitors there already. Contact is eduardothebridgebar@gmail.com

Pretty sure you can hire the upstairs of the Crown & 2 Chairmen on Dean St which may be convenient and is film friendly

Hi Karel,
I know a few places that are pretty good. One place I have been to was Jewel Bar. They have two rooms upstairs (one with a projector) and they have chairs. You can sometimes negotiate the free room on the promise of people buying drinks. Worth discussing with them anyway.

Good luck.
