INDEXPROBLEM WITH THE SYNC AND NOPE DONT NEED A PLUMBER! heard if before!!

Hi my editor who has now completed the edit using final cut pro , when she watches it on her lap top it plays ok , when she renders and exports it on a DVD or unto my hard drive there is a sync problem there is a large delay of about 5 secs with the audio and visuals. Can any one advice on how to get it right please ITS URGENT!! we have a deadline of MONDAY
