At our next event we’ll be talking with Mike Figgis, the renowned filmmaker whose credits include Internal Affairs, Timecode and Leaving Las Vegas, for which he received Oscar nominations for Best Director and Best Screenplay.

For those of you based outside of London, or who can't make it to the event, please do ask your questions for Mike below and we’ll try to get them answered!

Here's an outline of the event:

SP’s CEO Cath Le Couteur will be discussing Mike’s films, his new screenwriting book: ‘The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations’, his latest design for the infamous FigRig.

Got writer's block? Alongside his book, Mike has invented 'The 36 Dramatic Situations Playing Cards' to put an end to writer’s block once and for all… After presenting the cards, Mike will work with the audience on a script idea, using the cards as a live screenwriting experience.

Mike will also demonstrate the latest FigRig design, an updated version of the DIY camera rig. We’re going to hook a camera onto the FigRig and link it up to the screen, so audience members can test it out live.

The event will round up with a Q+A and networking drinks, where you can meet other filmmakers and potential collaborators.
