INDEXRock out with your c*ck out: What's your favourite music documentary of all time?

Hey Shooters,
I finally got around to seeing the much hyped documentary 'Beware of Mr Baker' about the formidable and hugely talented Cream drummer, Ginger Baker. Hey may not be the most likeable person, but that's not the point of a rock star (or should I say "jazz drummer"), right?! They're meant to be off-the-hook-heroin-addled-geniuses! That's why it's so fun to live vicariously through them for 90mins. Personally, I have a real penchant for music docs. Done well, they can make you fall in love with people you'd never previously heard of and become obsessed with their back catalogue - until last year's hit 'Searching for Sugarman' I'd never heard of Rodriguez. Now I love him! Some of all time favourite music docs include The Last Waltz, Stop Making Sense, Bird on a Wire, The Devil and Daniel Johnston, Jazz on a Summer's Day, Gimme Shelter, Standing in the Shadows of Motown...the list goes on. I can't get enough of them. What are some of your favourite music docs? What recommendations can you give? I'd love to hear.

Yeah, I forgot about DIG! That was cool. And the Metallica doc. Did you get a t-shirt?? Daniel Johnston I think is one of my favourite films of all time. I think I bought all of his CDs after, and a poster that I still have that says "Fear Yourself, Trust your Enemy"
