Seeking Bunker Location

3 years, 1 month ago - Gavin Boyter

Hi - I'm looking ideally for a concrete basement / bunker location - three blank concrete walls, floor and strip-lighted ceiling would be perfect. We have to create the illusion that our protagonist is in an impossible chamber without windows or doors. We can use practical or SFX to create one wall but if we can find three IRL that would be perfect. Anyone shot in such a space, or know of one?

I shot a film in a WW2 air raid shelter round the back of the Arcola theatre in Dalston east London. If it's still available, it's a great space with 3 or 4 empty concrete rooms. Absolutely no natural light which my DOP loved, and a spritz of moisture in the air that creates its own atmosphere. Contact the Arcola theatre as they own it. This is the film I shot there: https://vimeo.com/187458212
