Hi guys,

I hope you are all doing well.

I come with a question about the production designer..
So I am pre producing my short film musical (for about 15 minutes). This project however is bigger then I thought.
Looks like I need to prepare for a bigger budget for mainly makeup, costumes and a set design.

I have already got a milions of messages from the DoP's (which is fantastic), but I am wondering if I should speak to the any production designers first.

It is really difficult to get a production company on board + any budget from anyone (as I am planning this project as my debut)
and it's really hard to convince people to take a part in it (mainly my experience and just a grip stuff on my CV).

Do you think it's worth to try to speak to a production designer to get a brief of what and how shall I get the money from, how I should organize this production in terms of location, crew, cast with a small casting etc.

Many people says to me, "oooh try to get something small first and then go with this project". The thing is, I am 38 and it is really hard to me to do even a smaller thing (I am not a student anymore).

The project is really cool, it's a musical, likne no dialogues at all... the plot is really interesting. This project is touching a few big subjects as well...
At the end it's a wonnderful comedy with a beautiful answer for many qestions about small diferences between people...
