Hi All

I have quite an unusual casting request and wanted to see if someone on the community might be interested, or perhaps able to help recommend someone.

I’m part of a collective looking to shoot a feature on a micro micro budget. We are a tight-knit crew and have a lot of experience working together making shorts. None of us are professional so tend to shoot mostly at weekends every couple of months.

We have a solid script and shooting plan for the feature that would allow us to still shoot at weekends. We achieve this by having a single protagonist who throughout the story visits new locations and interacts with an ever changing cast of ancillary characters. So although it’s a single story each section of the script is essentially a new short film size production.

This is where the problem comes in, we realistically would take 1-2 years to complete the shoot so we need an actor who is unlikely to leave us during that time for a paid role. Ideally we are looking for someone to join the collective and become a full partner in the project.

In my head I’m thinking of someone who has a talent for acting but is no longer actively seeking work - possibly because other commitments have gotten in the way (career, family, life). Someone for whom working at the weekends would be ideal and is looking to scratch that acting itch.

So basically I’m looking for the moon on a stick carried by a unicorn. If you know anyone that you think might be interested drop me a line.
