Directors Notes have just shared a very lovely piece about Shooting People, and it feels especially meaningful because DN’s editor, MarBelle, was once one of SP's Filmmaker Editors back in the day. Full circle in the best way.

What I love about this feature is that it really captures what made SP… that it was never top-down, never about a “platform” or tech, but energised by the questions, answers, production call outs and generosity of so many filmmakers & creatives helping each other. Basically, there was never an SP, without this community.

Directors Notes have been champions of indie filmmakers for many years (almost as long as Shooters!), platforming bold voices, debut storytellers, outsiders, risk-takers and film that doesn’t fit the mould. All done with extraordinary hard work and passion.
