Songs for film and TV

1 year, 6 months ago - Alwyn Thomas

Hi.

I'm an experienced songwriter and music producer working in the film/tv/ad sectors. I am currently signed non-exclusively to Cuesheet for this work. Looking to work closely with film makers and tv producers to provide tailored material as opposed to generic. Happy to discuss songs/music requirements for your projects. My specialities are mood songs of a happy/upbeat nature and indie material being more dark. Based in South Wales but well used to operating globally; I currently provide 6-10 songs per month to a business in New York for example. Look forward to connecting with you!

This sounds awesome, I'm currently working on editing a project that is about memory and nostalgia. It is supposed to blur the lines between reality and fiction all of the footage is taken from over 30 hours of archival footage I recorded over most of last year with my friends. I was looking for some good atmospheric music I could use without being copyrighted. If I was to give you an idea for what I'm looking for I'd ask you to take a listen to the New Order album, Power Corruption and Lies as well as some of the trippier songs on Urban Hymns by The Verve, think Neon Wilderness and Catching The Butterfly. As well as these I would recommend having a little listen to Music of The Spheres by Ian Brown, specifically the song Whispers. Maybe even have a little listen the second Voidz album Virtue and John Squire's first solo album Time Changes Everything, a real dark bluesy sound on that record. Really I'm looking for music that seems epic and grandiose in sound and scale but also personal, music that seems as though it cements where you were and when at the time it came into your life. A soundtrack of the summer of sorts.

Hi Petar,

Thanks for your reply. This sounds a really interesting project. I have been away for a few days so apologies for the late reply. I will have a listen to your reference tracks today. Perhaps we could then have a chat this weekend if you are free. Sunday from 4.30pm is best for me. If you would like to pop me an email with your mobile number that would be great. My email is alwyna@aol.com Best regards, Alwyn Thomas
