Sound or radio studio required for BAFTA Crew project - can you help?

4 years, 11 months ago - Syd Heather

Hey everyone,

So just putting some feelers our there to see if anyone can help with a sound recording studio or radio studio in London or the South East?

During lockdown, members of BAFTA Crew (a scheme for emerging creatives) have set challenges for members to develop and make “micro shorts” as small teams as something to do whilst the industry remains quite uncertain. The first challenge was Depict, and our second challenge is for the upcoming Sundance festival.

Our idea is a supernatural thriller set in a radio studio or recording studio where there’s ideally two rooms separated by a glass panel/window to create two rooms - one for the mixer and one for the actor.

We don’t get a budget for this, and we are totally all doing it for fun and using as much as what we have. However, we will of course consider any option and adapt where possible.

It will be made with a micro cast and crew and only aiming for 1 day shoot sometime near the end of August or early September. We will of course be working with current covid guidelines and will be happy chat further with the owner about this.

Can anyone help us with this? Whether they have a usable space or know somebody who is into supernatural horrors and would love to help us out?
