Anyone know of a cemetery that is as spooky and overgrown as Abney Park and Highgate are, but which is away from traffic and aircraft noise? I haven't investigated Highgate from a noise point of view, but I know Abney Park is a noise nightmare.
I'd be up for checking out places within a 50 mile radius of London

Highgate is private and has 2 sides. One side is open to the public, the other is guided tour. I've filmed in the closed/guided side, its incredible and good for sound, only issue, as ever, air traffic.

Hey, there are a couple of good one's near me. Check out Nunhead Cemetery and Camberwell Old Cemetery (the overgrown part). Nunhead is walled and large - certainly some quiet areas and basically full of gothic overgrown tombs amongst ta forest.

Thanks, people... but I'm really looking for a cemetery that is well away from London traffic and isn't under a Heathrow flightpath.
