Are you, or do you know of, women (or non-binary people) of colour who would benefit from being mentored by entertainment industry professionals?

#Startwith8™, run by Women of Colour Unite, is a one of a kind mentorship program that has supercharged careers in Hollywood, now starting in the UK. The registration forms will remain open until we hit the maximum amount of slots available. #Startwith8 2021 Hollywood Edition got up to 550 in a little over a day!

WHAT IT IS: A Mentorship Program for Women of Colour in Film & TV

The #Startwith8™ initiative connects entertainment professionals (who volunteer as mentors) each with 8 Women (and non-binary people) of Color working in the business. Together, they formulate a plan of action based on what each mentee desires and what is achievable by the mentor to create tangible progress in the mentee’s career. Previous US mentors have included Casey Affleck, Robert Kirkman (Walking Dead), Jason Woliner (Borat II) and more: startwith8hollywood.com/mentors/

You must become a member of Women of Color Unite to apply - FREE to join

Sign up at http://network.wocunite.com

Apply ONLY for the program region that you live in, in this case UK.

- You have to be female and BAME to apply (Non-binary people of colour are welcome)

- Anyone whose primary track is performing (actors, singers, dancers, voice-over talent, hosts, etc) cannot apply

- Casting Directors cannot apply

You must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

*** Timeline ***

1: Registrations for mentees open (Deadline: until we hit max mentees)
2: Mentees are matched with mentors
3: Mentor & mentee introductions sent out
