https://wonderunit.com/storyboarder/ is now at version 1.5, and is a great free bit of software for storyboarding. Just in case it helps anyone, I've not seen anything even close for the price (£/$/€ 0)!.

Good idea Helen. It's pretty remarkable, and if it was commercial software I'd still suggest it, but for free and open sourced, it's amazing. And it's under active development, too.

Isn't it just?! Considering MMB is hundreds of pounds and not been updated meaningfully in best part of a decade, and still feels like 1998, this is a great deal for intelligent modern software.
