Since 2012, Talkies Community Cinema has brought communities together through a shared love of independent cinema. We have built a reputation for championing short films and supporting emerging talent. Our call outs have been through Shooting People so we are sad to see your doors closing!

We are launching a new awards initiative to celebrate outstanding short films made in the past three years.

We’re now accepting submissions at https://filmfreeway.com/TalkiesShortFilmAwards

All screened films will receive a monetary prize and additional awards will be made by audience vote and a judges’ panel
