A huge shout-out to the brilliant Adem Ay.

For years, Adem has been the beating heart (and sharp pen) behind the Screenwriters Bulletin and Script Pitch as the editor, championing emerging scripts and spotlighting writers who might otherwise have gone unheard.

Adem didn’t just ‘edit the bulletins’, he fundamentally built a space, where writers felt seen, cheered on, and encouraged to keep going when the blank page (or funding deadline) felt impossible. Week after week, he hunted down opportunities and filled the Screenwriters Bulletin with guts, craft, care as well as such much righteous fire (particularly around the writer strikes).

Alongside his day jobs as a writer and activist (he spent five years with Extinction Rebellion’s global media team), Adem’s poured hours into supporting this community. And truly this was for love, not money (seriously, not much at all). We’re beyond grateful.
