Tumbling is a fourteen minute short film about a relationship impacted by alcoholism, but it’s far from a stereotypical depiction. Instead, Tumbling explores the subtle and sometimes surreal ways that joy and despair can overlap, and the way that memory shifts towards and away from difficult truths. It’s important to us that Tumbling shows alcoholism in a nuanced, humane way that implicates and challenges both partners while also providing room for growth, and for love.

Tumbling has been a Finalist for the Oscar-Qualifying HollyShorts Screenplay Contest, a Semi-Finalist for the Outstanding Screenplays Competition and short-listed for the Barnstorm Fest Screenplay Competition. We were also recently pitching finalists at CineCircle’s London Film Summit 2024.

Slamdance Film Festival called Tumbling “a beautifully subtle screenplay… the depiction of alcoholism here is realistic and smart”.
