VR - Great one room scripts/plays? Suggestions please :-)

8 years, 3 months ago - Marlom Tander

I'm looking to experiment with VR.

My own scripts tend to be very camera kinetic, and initial experiments have shown that doesn't really work with VR, so I'm looking for ideas.

I always prefer to learn by trying to "do for real", so suggestions for suitable material please.

Ideally everything takes place in one room, or at least around a house. Exteriors can work if private - gardens, quiet streets.

Suggestions please :-)

Have a chat with Karel Bata https://shootingpeople.org/cards/KarelBata1, he's the most active person I know on this site working in non-traditional media. Whether 3D, projection mapping, VR, etc he's got a real interest in that side of things

Hi. I’m currently working on an animated VR-Sitcom. First it was planned to shoot it as a 360° live action video. We tested various multicam systems and developed an own “Doughnut-Shot” rig, but stumbled about the quality (Stitching errors, Light etc.). For the second attempt, we now test whether an animated version with motion capturing is possible. If you are interested, I can send you the script of the pilot episode…
