I am planning a get-together for local filmmakers so that we can build a pool of contacts to help keep us inspired, happy and working!
This is primarily targeted at people interested in subjects such as:
- problem solving/discussing/brainstorming scripts and treatments, including reading as a group.
- offering support on filmmaking, how to solve production issues, questions, helping each other get films made
- discussion of self-promotion and social media and most effective ways to achieve this
- time to drink and chat and get to know other people who spend a lot of their time thinking about and working in film.
Please get in touch if you would be interested in coming to the next one, on the 18th May, in the Leyton Baker's Arms area.

I'm in Camden but this sounds really interesting. Now that things are getting back to normal I'll be looking to connect with more filmmakers and get back into making things again.
Unfortunately, I'm in Cannes for the festival (alas, as a photographer) but would be interested in anything happening in late June if this is a regular thing?

Hey, great idea! I'm not a filmmaker yet, just help produce and do other roles in other people's indie shorts, planning my own soon, if available might come along with a couple of friends who do actually make films, would love to know more!

Hey Tiana....dare I ask - would you be interested in actors attending if they do 'other things' too like writing and a bit of producing? I don't live too far and this sounds really interesting. Plus I run a film festival so I spend loads of time every year working alongside filmmakers and helping get their work out there.
