INDEXWANTED: Short Film Scripts to Produce
8 years, 8 months ago - Oliver Clubb
Hi All,
I'm looking for some short films scripts from any screenwriters who would like to collaborate on short form drama.
I've produced and written a number of shorts over the past few years, often with my collaborator, Gulliver Moore. We mainly focus on Comedy, however we've been keen to produce a short drama for some time now. We work as a filmmaking duo, often producing and editing projects together, but splitting up into Director and Cinematographer on shoots.
We've been lucky enough to get our shorts screened and selected for many festivals. Our latest short film, 'Lucky Chicken' starring Will Merrick (Skins, About Time, The Rack Pack), commissioned by Ideas Tap and partly funded by Matt Lucas, was recently completed and has been doing the festival rounds.
We've also had success with 'Dragon', a 3 minute comedy short starring Brian Blessed, which has gained official selection in over 15 festivals.

If anyone out there would like to collaborate on a project and email a script over, we'd love to read it.
Thanks,
Oli

P.S. I am aware of the 'Script Pitch' section on Shooting People but thought I'd also pitch here as well.

Hi Oli,
I liked Dragon. Mind you, you can't really go wrong with Brian Blessed can you?
A lot of my drama has a comedic edge and vice versa. Would you prefer pieces that are completely straight?
Also do you have any other preferences regarding budget, length or cast size?

Hi David,
It would be great to see something a comedic edge to it but overall deals with more serious, realistic subject matter. The only preference we have is on duration; something around the 10 minute mark.
Apart from that, we are open to everything else in terms of cast and budget.
