INDEXWeb Series funding and production

Hello all. I'm currently writing a collection of 5 minute comedy shorts that would work well as a web series. Does anyone have any experience in this genre? Be great to know about any funding, competitions or broadcast/online opportunities to get a series into production. Thanks.

Very few people fund shorts, so you can easily waste a lot of effort looking for someone. Instead, self-fund and make yourself a name (to attract sponsors), or find sponsors who are willing to take a punt.
The problem is that shorts don't make money, so investors have to get some value in return, and that's eyeballs on their branding. Get 10M views on your first project, they'll be knocking on your door. 1M and they'll take you seriously. 100k you'll need to show that you're very tightly focused demographically, and that that demographic suits the brand :)
