Hi I'm writing about the future of the effects industry and I'm currently researching how computer generated effects have changed the industry.
Does anyone know what is the realistic cost difference between shooting real vs CG and what are the main pros and cons that affect the director's choice to use digital or practical effects?
Also are there any opinions on the current use of CGI as an audience member, do you think it's overused?
