This would be in a venue for about 50 people , lighting dim. I have a screen.

I have a Philips Picopix which cost, I think, around £260. It is SO tiny (not much bigger than a pack of cigarettes) and pops into your pocket. Handy for running around to do presentations. VERY bright image too, even in a lit room. Do remember NO projector has much in the way of speakers, so you'll need them to plug separately into your DVD player.

The most important things to know in buying a projector are screen size, distance to screen and amount of ambient light. Without these details I'd suggest the Optoma TH1060P, which is 4500 lumerns, full HD but doesn't have the most amazing zoom.
