Is anyone part of/knows of a good meet up involving filmmakers and writers that network regularly in South London OR Kent
I pretty much live like a hermit so need to get out once in a while to socialise with like minded people!love to chat film and would love to collaborate with others who do!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Rhys, I'm attending The Raindance London Open House Event this Thursday (1st Sept). It's good opportunity to meet and mix with fellow film-makers in UK. Whilst it's not in South London - it's central (takes place at King's College, Strand).
It's free - and you can register for tickets on the Raindance website. Starts at 6.30pm.

Hi Rhys, I am currently producing a web series called Moviehaus and am looking for people who want to be part of a group of four people to discuss movies. I regularly attend The Croydon Film Meet Up at Matthews Yard, which meets the first Tuesday of every month.

Don't know how far sout/east/London your are but there's a lot going on in Catford and other south east London places from this link for Free Film Festival; workshops, panel interviews with filmmakers, short film screenings etc. etc. AND all free: http://www.freefilmfestivals.org/filmfestival/catford/

This sounds great! I live in Croydon and struggled to start a new film meet up! My original group is successful (I'm not part of it, I had to let it go, work commitments). When I recover from my operation and get back to full fitness, keep me in the loop!

Can you make it to Central London?
Raindance hosts a monthly event for everyone involved in independent filmmaking. It is held near to Leicester Square on a Monday evening in the middle of the month. There is also the London Short Film organisation which hosts a monthly networking event in Central London - the last Wednesday of the month I believe it is.
