Where can I find a casting director for a low budget film?

Dear all,

I'm shooting an erotic Sci-Fi Horror short in Vietnam this year.

I've already got my crew in place and I'm going out there in a few weeks to do a casting and recce for Vietnamese talent. However my central character is a Caucasian male around 38-39 years of age.

I'm looking to cast in the UK for my central character but I need some assistance trying to find the right talent.

I'd be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction as to finding a casting director who wouldn't mind working for expenses only as we currently don't have a budget.

Frankly to cast one role, you probably don't need a casting director, just post here and on castingcallpro and see what interest you get.

Tell people you're paying a notional fee but also paying for flights, visas, accommodation and food etc to Vietnam for a week, maybe saying there will be x free days or that the successful applicant will be able to extend their stay if you book the flights in time.

Thanks for your prompt response and advice Paddy. That helps a lot and great idea about offering extra days/extension on their stay.

I wasn't sure about Casting Call Pro initially, but you're the second person who's advised it so I will take a look.
