There is also the short wave cinema around the corner from London bridge. Good small screening room or stephen street BFI v comfortable.
Hope its helpful.

Try asking at The Crown & Two Chairmen in Soho - they have/had various shorts/media events and it's a nice enough and convenient pub.

Depends how tiny your budget really is, whit kind of content you are actually screening, who the audience is and which area of London you are looking at.
You can rent an actual screening room but you are looking at at least a few hundred pounds. You can rent a different venue with a folding screen and HD projector but the quality will suffer. You can look for a pub with a function room that may let you use it for free if you bring in enough guests.
If you are screening to industry types to raise interest in your film you ideally need a proper screening room and you'll need to provide drinks. Budget at least £500 for this type of event.
PM me for more detail if you like.

My web site Screening Room Map lists the venue options, at www.screeningroommap.com
If there's enough support, especially from Shooters, I'm planning on adding a 'budget' option in the QuickSearch feature. All feedback from Shooters is gratefully accepted...

We woudln't be suitable for large cast and crew screenings, but I run a very longstanding short film event in London, Kino. We're now entering our sixth year of monthly, open screenings of short films under 6 minutes. We are non-selective, non-competitive and provide a completely open screen to filmmakers of all levels of experience. We tend to show around 12/13 films each month, to a crowd of around 100 to 120. You just need to get on the list in advance of the night. We don't watch anything before screening.
Like I say, if you're planning to bring 40 people we're not the event for you, as it would take up too much capacity for just one film, but if you're looking for a place to screen outside of this then perhaps bear us in mind.
