Where to train? lighting technician and grip

Hi Shooters

How/ where ywould recommend to get training as a lighting technician and a grip?
I know two 19 year olds based in London who are interested in these 2 roles.
I don't know the career paths and would appreciate advice & suggesstions

Hi Caroline,
Grips and sparks usually have to get NVQs. They both have unions who will be able to advise on the pathway to an NVQ. They can work as assistants or trainees while they are getting their qualifications. This might help https://www.gripsbranch.org.uk/ and check out bectu for the electricians branch.
