Hi Shooting People, wonderful individuals and community.
I have been working as a freelance film-maker for the last 10 years and am now going into AR/VR.
I am trying to understand better who makes AR/VR at the minute and who could/should be creating it.
If you have an interest in immersive media or if you have already worked with it, I would be very grateful if you could share your experience with me.
I have put together a short survey to make it easier.

thanks for your time and attention
all the best

Hi Pablo, have answered your questionnaire, and here's some stuff I know:
The Mill & Framestore are 2 of the big VFX houses who are putting a lot of time and effort in developing immersive tech. They're very keen to work with new directors in this field - sharing tech/ developing ideas.
It's a MASSIVE growth area in the wider industry - the govt have set a goal for Britain to become #1 in this field, so there's a lot of funding becoming available.
Many production & post companies are developing immersive capabilities. Nexus are notable, also Unit 9.
Also if you're interested in training, check out AccessVFX - it's a collection of post houses who are banding together to encourage skills development in this area.
We're looking into running an event about this - very early days, we're still at the research stage, but if you're interested drop me a line at caroline@shinyawards.com
best, Caroline
