Hello,

I'm looking to move to Bristol next year and wanted to find out if there was a good film community to seek out or much production work that way. Would be good to hear from people already working out there. I work in online content as well as features and docs.

Hello Sukey. I've been living and working in Bristol for nearly twenty years. I spent most of that time working as a CGI animator and I'm now directing and writing live action films. The media scene in Bristol is really buzzing and healthy. Lots of commercial companies making corporate work, such as Aspect Film, Aardman producing feature films and the Natural History Unit at the BBC. As a result, there are some big production companies such as Icon and Plimsoll, who always seem busy and there is a pool of highly trained freelance production crew to match.
