Hello Shooting People Family.
I hope Christmas preparations are going well
I recently created a YouTube Channel!
https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC65-e2_CRNPkraC-Mvw-Thw
I am not entirely sure what kind of content to create/post as an actor.
Let me know if you have any suggestions or if you have a YouTube Channel yourself! ❤️
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone x

Dear Johnny.
As an actor/writer/director I have created a YouTube Channel and the content consists the trailers and short films I have made the past few years.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOy4AyjY2Qcsq2w5wH4d4hw?view_as=subscriber
I have not put my showreel yet as I am currently working on it..
I would really like you to have a look and hear your thoughts..
Kind regards,
Alexandra!!!

Hi Johnny
Great question. I read somewhere that only about 5% of actors make their living exclusively from acting, for example, screen acting classes seem frequently to be run by actors who promote their service off the back of their experience as an actor, whilst continuing to act.
Pretty sure you're not suggesting this, but personally, a channel of, say, a director, writer or production company's work, might be of interest to me, but a channel of an actor just acting wouldn't be of any interest. And I dont think casting directors would be interested either, a showreel is the defacto, and even then from the cd's I've talked, there is a tendency to jump in randomly, purely 'to see the actor doing his/her thing, face on to camera'.
One idea could be to find a niche area of acting that really interests you and get into that to
(1) contribute to others
(2) become a source of income (perhaps)
(3) build a network
(4) promote you as an actor, in a subtle and indirect way
Some examples:
* the psychology of acting
* Your journey and discoveries (to help others, check out David Patrick Green's youtube channel)
* Technology for actors (self taping, cameras, websites, apps, etc)
* accents
* interviews with people in the business, directors, casting directors etc
* analysis of scenes you like or dont, and why
* millions of other possibilities!

Hello Alexandra,
Really appreciate your engagement with my question.
Great work with "Little Green Street" it´s a lovely homage to Charlie Chaplin.
Was this the content that you meant?
Best Wishes,
Johnny
