Digtial Motion Graphics
Motion graphics is an extension of graphic design comprising moving image and sound (animation or video) most commonly used to visually explain a concept to an audience. A sequence of motion graphics is usually one aspect of a bigger piece of multimedia such as a DVD, a TV documentary, a game or even a film.
This course offers a thorough practical and theoretical grounding in all aspects of motion graphics. You will be able to develop a body of work which will enable you to progress to higher education, or to full time employment. You will be working with cutting-edge practitioners and Apple Certified Trainers in this very popular and expanding field of graphic design.
The course is structured around workshops where digital compositing and animation concepts will be explored in detail. You will benefit from working on a range of industry based projects, enabling you to have a very good insight into the real work environment.
You will benefit from the use of green screen techniques, high definition video camera and using Boujou for motion tracking to realise your ideas. To achieve this you will be working with the following Industry standard software: Adobe Creative Suite CS3, Autodesk Maya 9, Apple Final Cut Pro 2 and After Effects CS3 .
