Disturbed late at night by a strange noise, Josh awakes to find he is the victim of a home invasion. The night turns violent when, in his desperate attempt to defend his home, Josh is attacked by the intruders.
Left for dead, he is greeted by a mysterious woman who claims to be The Grim Reaper itself. Thus begins a conversation about our understanding of Life.
