EIS has no impact on technical aspects film making, UNLESS you might spend more in total (pre, prod,post, sales/marketing) than 5M.

Try exporting EDL/OMF in FC, then importing that into Lightworks. I used Lightworks back in '93 I think it was. Freakin' love that system. I don't know if it's "director friendly"…

Ned, it's worth doing a little more research on this aspect of documentary filmmaking as subject matter is often half the work of producing a worthwhile documentary.

Be your own producer.

You're talking about a short, so small scale. At that level production is easy :-)

All you have to do is sit down and word your way through the script shot…
