Anyone got any short film scripts they are looking for funding for?

11 years, 3 months ago - Michael Quinn

Hey,

Michael Quinn here, I'm a London based Irish producer.

My home town of Limerick in Ireland, is currently Irelands national Capital of Culture. As part of this they are looking for submissions for two lots of funding of 15,000 euro for short films to be shot in Limerick.

I am in a unique position to produce these projects because of my local knowledge in terms of locations, crew and logistics and because there will undoubtedly be a requirement that a percentage of the crew will be from Limerick.

If anyone has any scripts that are Irish based or they feel could be adapted to be shot in Limerick, Ireland please do get in touch.

Kind Regards,

Michael Quinn

Michael,

This is a v good opportunity i've just been to the Richard Holmes advanced producing class. most of mycurrent slate is on my stage32.com profile. one or two f the short form not 100% shorts 1 is a 50min TV drama. reworking pitches at present. also working on the Cell 10min short with an actor looking to film in late this / 2015. depneds on when I can finish draft 1 / 2.

producing is one of the hardest departmental job in the industry znd as a disabled (motor control based) filmmaker / photographer and writer ists v trying o find a right type of producer who can put some of the theory into practice.

contactable on screen007682@yahoo.co.uk

Many Thanks

Hi Michael,

I have a 9 minute short script currently set in the West of Scotland but easliy adapted to the West of Ireland. It has few locations ( city park, office, suburban house, rural church overlooking the sea) and five characters. It's high on visuals, low on dialogue. Could be shot for 15000 euro.

I can send a one page synopis or the scipt itself (8 pages, 12 scenes)

My website gives details of my background, but in summary I have one fetaure produced, four optioned, five awards won.

All best,

Stephen

Hi Michael
We have a great short script based on an award winning book that can be easily located in Ireland. We can bring some funds to the table. The story can be a great feelgood film and should win lots of awards. Please let me know if you are interested in the script and I shall be pleased to forward it to you.
Regards Phil.

Hey Michael,
I've a short film script that you might be of interest to you.
I've made three short films over the last year and a half. In 2013 I was a finalist at BAFTA, I won the 2013 Framerate Screenwriting Competition, one of my films was an Official Selection of the 2013 Edinburgh Film Festival and my latest 20 minute film, Warhol, has just been accepted as an Official Selection of the 2014 Hoboken International film Festival.
Trailer link attached

Please drop me a line if you are interested in reading the script or talking more.

Many thanks

Adam
