Anyone need an editor over the next month?

9 years, 10 months ago - Ben Mills

Hi all,

I'm currently slowing down on my current job and looking for shorts or music videos to cut and help out with post production.

I'm an experienced assistant editor / VFX editor looking to actually cut some stuff! I've worked on some big films and worked with some of the best editors in the UK gaining knowledge and experience from them.

I've also recently completed a 5 part web series and a thriller short, both went incredibly smoothly through post production and am looking to sink my teeth into a new project within the next 2- 3 weeks.

So if you know of anyone needing an editor or need one yourself or even some post production workflow advice then by all means get in touch.

Hey Wozy,

I cut on avid, I have a suite based in West London, but naturally working in Soho the majority of the time can always bring projects in and use the suite Im currently working in from time to time. I'm going to be fairly slammed form the start of November but would be more than happy to schedule in something with a quick turnaround before then if theres anything on the go, specifically drama. All dependant on deadlines you may have, but I pride myself on workflow and ensuring that post production runs as smoothly as possible.

Happy to discuss further if you have anything you feel is applicable in the meantime.

What do you cut on? What kit do you have? What's your preference?

I have a bunch of projects coming up and may need support - but they are not short form - mostly TV drama and features.

IM me if you'd rather.

Thanks for that Dan, very kind! You're not wrong, it's my job to gain clarity in the edit, it's always good to have a fresh set of eyes look over your work to see what can be tightened, which parts work and which don't! All in all if you're a director, the key is to make your vision come to life and make the best film possible!

I hope people take you up on this very generous offer. Directors shouldn't cut their own films. But hey, everyone, if you don't like what Ben does for your film, you don't have to use it. I hope you'll give him a shot at cutting your picture. It just might be better than if you cut it yourself!
