Dear All,
While I am exploring the way to estabilish a company and building a team for different projects with a focus on short films with a budget(not amateurish) I'd be more than happy to evaluate the chance to collaborate on other people projects for 50% of time(especially but not limited to short films with a great story) essentially for free or a very reduced payment thanks to a exchange scheme I am enrolled in , the EYE EU scheme that could help me financially. And in the second 50% of time happy to develop a project in a co-operative way, terms to be discussed and flexibles and with a potential of financial covering secured before filming.
If you are interested in collaborate with a creative(mainly director but also writer and production designer and if needed AD) drop me a line, I will be in London around 3-12 July for some meetings and I will be happy to have a cup of coffee with you.
If interested in this spec. proposal feel free to just have a look, this my simple, almost zero budget awarderd and very well reviewed (NFTS head and Sundance winners) short that is not online yet but I am OK to put here with a password for a couple of weeks:

Temporary password: FLAMINGOSFINALOK
PS Please Do not feel disappointed about the fact I haven't a website yet..it's under construction ;)

First of all, I want to congratulate you on actually having a showreel that makes sense. Most "directors" produce stock-footage-set-to-music showreels, failing to understand what a director does. Even with zero budget, you do show an understanding that a director's job involves visualising a story.
What concerns me here is trying to do multiple projects at the same time. Directing a film is a full time job, and it takes most professionals a year or longer to do a feature (which I assume is your goal). It usually takes longer, two years at least, to direct your first feature. (I'm talking about good films here, which I assume is your goal. Some people throw things together, without proper pre-production and so on.)
Why you'd want to do short films in London also perplexes me. While Britain has some talented crew, so does Italy. It's probably easier for a foreigner to get a film job in France. If there's something about London that you like, let people know, and it will improve your pitch.
While I see some talent in London, I haven't set many stories there. I suppose some non-geographical stories could be set there. (Eastenders doesn't look too urban, so some of my stories set in domestic situations and workplaces could work in London.) But, I'd really want to work with a director who was working with my story (or their own story) full time rather than someone juggling multiple projects at once.

Hi Vasco,
Thanks for your attention and your kind opinion on my short...(very first ever)
I use to be talkative but I do try to be concise:
Yes Italy could be OK theoretically but I am not in Rome or Milan, I live in Sardinia, a beautiful island but with a lack of perspective, and a somehow micro and toxic film niche...I could certainly do another short here and probably this will happen BUT I want to open wider my connections and try to understand if there is someting more "open" than an island with almost no chance to go for a feature with funding, no way for a real growth free from state funds...anyway now perhaps It's just an exploring view.
I appreciate your help and I feel that U.K and London are extremely difficult fields to play in ,but there are somehow chances to build, a lot of talent from all over europe keep going to London...OK almost 95% lost their way, what about the 5% ;) ?
I have some meetings booked....Just curious if someone new is interested.
About the multiple projects I agree with you, the 50% time splicing has to be intended not in the same time but one project and then the other, if it was for me I'd like to go only for my own project or as a director for a really interesting project of someone else, but I just wanto to underline that I could be a creative also flexible and dedicated even in pure directing so yes visualizing seriously any kind of content/story I have(or better , choose) to be involved into.
Ps I don't speak french at all :)
Ciao
Sergio

Sergio,
I know a Brit who was on a similar scheme, and he travelled to Austria and learned German. He's now making films around Europe and further afield, so it could work out well for you.
I wouldn't limit yourself by language, but if there's a specific thing you like about London, don't be afraid to admit it. If someone else likes the same thing, you can build a project around that.
Anyway, all the best on the meetings.
Ciao,
Vasco

Hi Vasco;
London is simply the european hub for talent and the bridge between europe and U.S.
This is why I am interested in London and by now I've met a lot of interesting people from multiple sources and still open to new meetings especially with producers while working on a project.
Thank you for your suggestions
Ciao
Sergio
